All along the year there are different popular festivities and festivals going on at the Ribagorza region. However it is from July to September when most events take place.

At the very beginning of the summer we suggest you going to Les Falles de Sahún; this is a bonfire festivity in the Pyrenees that has been held, the night of San Juan, since a long time ago (on the 23rd of June).

Some of the most outstanding events are the International Festival of Performing Arts NOCTE which takes place in July at the village of Graus; the music festival known as Ribagorza Festival ‘Clásicos en la frontera’ that is held several days during July and August; and if you like Indie music, you must go to Benás Fest in the village of Benasque.

In Benasque as well, in July, you can enjoy a wide range of activities such as yoga, conferences, music, cinema, nutrition, workshops, outdoor activities and a street market with plenty of stands; all of this take place during a ‘be aware festival’, known as Positivo Festival.

Last Saturday in July, Graus celebrates La fiesta de la Longaniza, this is a fresh pork sausage festival, and it is a Guinnes World Record holder because of being the largest pork sausage barbecue in the world since 1997.

Of course we don’t forget Graus popular festivities, which take place from 12 to September 15, in honour of Santo Cristo and San Vicente de Ferrer. In 1973, they got the category of Festival of National Tourist Interest.

In the lines above some of the most important festivities and festivals have been summarised, nonetheless there are many others! When you come to visit us, have a look at the website Turismo Ribagorza, you will get to know all the activities and events going on at that moment.
