When visiting Ribagorza region, you should also taste the local gastronomy.

We suggest you to taste produce such as the black truffle, cured pork sausages, and more in particular, you should taste Graus pork sausage; this is a kind of pork sausage from the village of Graus which is well-known, both at the regional and national levels, thanks to its quality and tradition. The last Saturday in July, the longaniza or sausage festival takes place in Graus. This day the biggest pork sausage in the world is stuffed, and then cook on a barbecue that is also the biggest one in the world. You can check it in the Guinness World Records book! This festival has been held every year since 1991, and in March 2003 it was declared Festival of Tourist Interest in Aragón.

If you like either cheese or chocolate, then you must go to Benabarre and visit the cheese and chocolate factories, and taste all their different products.

Honey is also an outstanding produce at Ribargoza region. This is a high-quality product thanks to the way honey is pulled out which is completely handmade. In Graus there is a shop where they sell Ribagorza’s honey, in there you will find a wide variety of this product.

Along the wild mushroom season, which last from August to December, Ribagorza’s forests count with a wide assortment of eatable mushrooms. Some of the most outstanding names for culinary purposes are: Robellón, Rossinyol, Trompeta amarilla, among others. Be careful! Do not gather those wild mushrooms which you don’t know because they may be poisonous.
